Tom,

It is possible that the problem is just a bad belts. Nothing last forever and belts are a first suspects. Also it is very important to properly adjust a new belts tension. The instructions are attached to the reply.

Need some advice/help. Never have had a problem with my washer till today.

I smelled a burning belt smell and went to investigate. Washer was pumping to empty but no spin. Finished emtying by hand and tipped it up and the belts are still solid but...

Not enough tension on the belts to move the middle larger pulley.

Middle pulley (larger one) seems sort of tough to rotate even though it does move.

I need to know possible causes, how to troubleshoot to see if it's even worth fixing. In other words, is it just the belts/and or tension, or is it something worse.

Thanks,

Tom
