I cannot find any info on the given model number (tfh30orta) are you sure it is not a TFH30PRTA.

Freezer should be between 0 and 5 degrees F.

Check that the condenser fan is running.
Check that the condenser coils are clean.
Check that the door seals are OK.

If the above are OK then.
Remove the evaporator coil cover in the freezer and check the coils.
If they only have frost in one area or it is very blotchy then odds are that you are low on freon.

only time it shuts off is in defrost cycle what should the freezer temp be, dont know if it isnt geting cold enough or the thermostat is bad:)
