Hi Dave,

Most likely the problem caused by a bad coils on the gas valve.

- The part number for the coil kit is AP79737

I have a Speed Queen gas dryer that starts up spinning, but does not release any gas to heat up the dryer. I noticed that the heating element comes on for 10-15 seconds, but no gas flows from the gas valve. Could it be that the sensor that looks at the heating element is not sensing that it is lit, therefore, no allowing any gas to flow. Or is it the thermostat? both appear to be located on either side of the heating element in the 4 inch tube that the gas passes down. I want to order a part, but not sure which would be causing this, the sensor or the thermostat or something else.
