What you need to do is check for voltage at the main board. There is a blue and white plug at the bottom of the board. One if the wires on the blue plug is marked line and the plug nearest to the blue plug on the white plug is neutral (it should be a orange wire). Check for voltage on those two wires. If there isn’t voltage there is a loose connection.

If there is voltage there take a look at this page GE Refrigerator Fan Motor Diagnostics

The first test for each fan is checking for supply voltage to the fans. If there isn’t any supply voltage but there is voltage at the blue and white plugs replace the main board.

If this is the case you can repair the joint if you have a solder gun or you can replace the main board. The safer way to go is to replace the main board but I have been successful repairing the solder joints.

My Refrigerator stopped working. I cleaned out the dust underneath. Does not cool or freeze. Compressor does not kick on. Someone mentioned for me to check the Defrost switch as it could be bad. I can not find the defrost switch on this model. Is there any other test I can perform?
