We have a Kenmore model 106.56532400 side by side refrigerator with an ice dispenser problem. It is 5 years old. The insulated flap door outside the ice shoot is loose and does not cover the shoot. I have disassembled the outside panel and discovered the plastic housing which the door clips on to is cracked and will not hold the flap door hinge pin in place.

Ideally, I would like to repair it as replacing the plastic housing looks time consuming as all the wiring and many other components need to be removed. However, I'm not sure epoxy, JB Weld, or some other product would hold. Ideas on this?

Second, how difficult is it to replace the plastic housing? Looking at the Sears parts web site, the housing is listed as "not serviced" and does not give you the option to order the part, though it does say "call for availability. Does this mean it is not repairable?

Thanks,
Dennis
