Hi I just fixed my dryer today. I have experienced the same symtoms as you. There is nothing wrong with your timer. It just stop advancing becuz your cloths is not drying properly. There is a sensor that senses moisture in the dryer. The timer will proceed if the clothes are drying properly. Your clothes are not drying properly is becuz you have no heat. You only have heat at the beggining but not after 10 min. So your clothes is not drying right, with much moister the sensor detects, so it stops the timer until the moisture level drops. I changed out the gas valve coils and is working great. I have wasted money on changing out the sensors and still had the same problem. It took me another week for the gas valve coils to arrive. I was so thrilled that my dryer is working right again that it makes me want to share this info.

Advances on the timed dry side of timer when running does not advance on timed side when not running
Does not apper to advance on the more/less dry side of timer when running
|

This is starting to sound like a short somewhere in the electrical system. If sometimes it will advance on the timed cycle and sometimes it won't. If this is the case then you might want to check for chewed or broken wires.

When running it advances on timed dry not running it does not advance

Does it advance on timed cycle?
|

Does your timer advance when on timed cycle without turning on the dryer?

this is the latest after having sometime to watch it run.
burner will light occasionaly Timer seems to be moving on timed dry at least I have seen the ignitor light up but not light the burner after it has run for about 10 minutes
I didn't have any voltage at teh connector goign to the gas valve (dryer plugged in but not on(didn't see how you could check voltage when it was all put together and running is this correct?))
Voltage at the red terminal on timer and terminal going to the door switch ran without vent hose hooke dup and no difference
So what now ?

I am not getting any voltage at teh connector that goes into the gas valve.
What does this point too?

Well today my wife said it did the same thing on the timed dry side of the timer and the timer didn't turn. Does this point to the timer?
How do I check the timer to see if it is bad?
I was also reading about gas valve coils goign bad
any thoughts?
