I never heard about such repairs and I do not think it's possible to DIY. The best (and I believe the only) solution is to replace the glass top assembly.

Hello :)
We have an 8 year old Viking electric stove with glass top.Last week the glass top let loose and poped up.The electric burners below are spring loaded and push the burners against the glass top. The glass tops have a black rubber moulding that is adheared to the glass top and looks like it is or was adheared to the stainless steel cooktop.
Is there a way to glue it back down with a Hi Temp adheasive?
Should the moulded rubber adheasine be removed from the glass?
Will the adheasive glue the rubber to the stainless steel?
Can you specify a type of Adheasive?
