With no model number I am assuming this is a typical direct drive whilrpool made machine, in which case you want to start by replacing the agitator dogs.

I have a Kenmore Ultra Fabric Heavy duty 80 Series. The agitator is very slow no matter the setting. Do you know what should I check and if you have any idea how much it will cost to fix it.
