We are talking about the start device, not the overload klixon.

Yes his right the overload is for protection of compressor.

installed relay and now the only thing i get is interior lights. even the fan was coming on when the old relay was in but freezer and frige were warm. advised to cut blue and white from original connector and install new connectors to fit relay
