This error code leads to the door latch problem, but the noise issue can be much more serious.

Gene, thank you for your help. I didn't think I was reading it correctly. Now, I am getting error code E41.

It sounds strange. Run the Diagnostic test as described in the Tech sheet (page 2) and post the results.

The noise can come from the rear bearing.

I have a front loading washer that will not spin, just makes a grinding noise. I have removed the back panel and the belt is fine and move freely and quietly. Also, I do not have a digital output so my error code is a series of flashing lights. I am getting error code E30 however I may be reading this incorrectly as I do not believe this relates to my model. FYI, the 5 vertical lights blink 3 times and the ‘start’ button light does not blink. So, when I try to spin it make a grinding like noise. Later I will try to isolate this noise. However, does any one have a idea what this could be.
