All terminals on the start-run and the cycle switches are marked according to the wires color code. In double colored wires the first letter means the color and the second letter means the stripe.
T-R is for the Tan wire with the Red stripe.
O-BK is for the Orange wire with the Black stripe.
Looks like you connected some wires incorrect.

Three photos attached. DSC06633 is unit face showing switches. Round dial actuates the unit. Buttons on the left panel place the unit into constant compression or release. Left to right it corresponds to wiring shown in other photos.
DCS06632 and DSC06634 are of the wiring as I have it connected currently.:)
The PDF is of the wiring diagram found inside of the unit.
Appreciate the assist. Please let me know if you need anything more.
Thanks!

Motor windings decided to short (oh the ozone) and the compactor jammed mid-cycle. Ordered replacement motor which arrived in a matter of days (most impressive). Unfortunately. in process of figuring out how to get at the motor and unjam the system, I disconnected the front panel (which comes back to bite me).
Now... I took photos of wiring on the motor before disconnecting. I hooked the replacement up to match the photos. Didn't think to take photos of the front panel connections as they looked simple. Instead, wife wrote down what I described which when read back now makes no sense.:(
Reassembled, the compactor works in one of two extremes: it will not run -or- it will not stop running.
I've played with the front panel wiring, but cannot get it right. Can I get a diagram that describes what color wires connect to which spade connector on the front panel for this model? I have the circuit diagrams, but that doesn't help me too much.
Alternatively, if I post pics of the front panel wiring can someone tell me which wires go where?
One minor caveat: The wiring instructions with the replacement motor did not match the original install based on the photos. So I went with the photos.
Thanks!
