Only sound is fill solenoid and water filling. No motor sounds, no timer sounds (most have a little noise after 10 years, in my experience).

I don’t have a service manual nor troubleshooting checklist
(other than what I gleaned from the web).

Wife said, "Won't drain" so I suspected plugged drain, kinked hose, lid switch, drain pump.

Fills ok.
Turns out that the machine stops without agitating.
Cycles don't advance by moving the timer dial.
No sounds. No odors.*

Lid switch seems ok, tests ok, shorting lid switch socket does nothing.
No plugged nor kinked drain hoses. (* slight odor from drain water
day old, soapy drain water after removing laundry, scooping water
from tub.) Impeller blades look ok, spins with very slight resistance, slight greasy

stain from weepage (no noticeable drips).
Motor spins freely forward and backwards.
