No you were not, there's no connection between GE and 'simple'.

The problem with these GE models is that sometimes the diagnostics system does not work, and the only way to fix it is to start replacing parts. In your case it could be the motor, the mode shifter or the control unit. It could also be the wiring.

If you want to try replacing parts and order from this site you can return them. Sorry not to be of more help, it's GE that is the problem, not you or I.

I already replaced the lid switch. Didn't change anything.

Check the lid switch, not sure what is wrong with your model but that is a place to start if you are correctly resetting things and have no error codes.

My GE top load washer won't spin or agitate. I have checked/realigned the dial, lifted the lid 6 times in 12 seconds, checked the load tube and the belt, replaced the lid switch and the green led light on the motor blinks on and off steady... Don't know what else to try. Please help!!
