Your model number does not come up, but even if it did I think you should strongly consider replacing the machine. The previous owners left it for a reason, which you now know. And it is likely that there is some type of structural damage to the machine.

A basic no electronics top loader will do a great job for you, and let you enjoy your new residence with one less worry.

When I moved into my home, the former owners left the washing machine. It is a Magic Chef Heavy Duty washer. I have no way of knowing how old it is. It is a top loader. My problem is that the washer gets off balance almost every time I use it and it walks across the room. I've checked the level and it is level. Any other suggestions. I know how to load a washer, I've been doing it for 40+ years.
