HIgh water pressure can affect the washer, but not in the spin cycle.

Without a model number I am forced to guess that you have a Frigidaire made front loader (does the model number begin with "417", if so that is a Frigidaire). In that case the likely explanation is that the rear tub bearing is failing, along with a possible break in the support structure and because that is not a separable repairable part a new machine is usually the solution.

Does anyone know if high water pressure to a house can affect your washing machine? Our new house has extremely high (too high) water pressure and we noticed that our Kenmore has become increasing noisy when on the spin cycle.

We thought maybe there could be an issue since it is an HE machine. Any thoughts?
