rich isnt spin counter clockwise?Ive read where drive block wears and slips down binding the inner drum, ive got a new one today.Ill post later of my results also pulled out brakes and clean them all of and inside brake housing.or is it trans coupler clockwise turn drive shaft counter because brake release is counter.

For both of you, remove pump and motor and turn tranny coupler clockwise till the basket tries to turn. If very hard to turn the coupler, you have stuck brake shoes. Go to my "sticky" above "replacing direct drive brake shoes" for info.

Seems like you have a slipping clutch, maybe oil soaked from an oil leak, just take apart and check.

I've monitored the washer quite a bit of times.....sometimes it will wash correctly but most times it will just make noise like it's doin what its supposed to. But all it's doing is draining the water from the bottom on the rinse cycle but never spins (so some of the water just sits in the clothes....but appreciate the help

Monitor the washer during spin period, if power is never interupted, you have a bad timer,If you can get it to spin by manually turning it off and on.You will need to use your model # to get the part.
