Thanks for the help replacing the agitator dogs. The hint about removing the bolt and top of the agitator itself did the trick!

It looked like the grooved ring was a player, but how and where the dogs went was a mystery to me.

It now works like new again!

Now to see about a timer for it.......

These machines have a two part agitator. After you take off the cap you should see a 7/16" bolt head. Take it out and pull the agiator off and it then comes apart.

You will then see how the dogs go on.

If you do not have a bolt in there, you have a plastic square hole. Unscrew using a square socket extension end.

Where are the agitator dogs located (part number AP3119063)? Are they under a small cap on top of the agitator itself? I see a grooved ring around the outside and 4 small ears sticking out on the inside part, but nothing is there to make the screw pull the clothes towards the bottom. The screw just sits there and does nothing... will these dogs fix the problem?
