There is only one in the back, probably rusted off the frame.

Would you happen to know which spring it would be?

I would pull off the outer cover and check for a disconnected spring in the back.
For your spinning problems, go to my sticky above "replacing direct drive washer brakes shoes".

My washer fills and agitates the cloths but when it comes time for it to spin and drain it does not do that, at times. Again it does not happen all the time but the majority of the time it will. Ok, now when it does spin and drain it has this loud banging noise which will actually move the washer. I have also put only the front of my washer on some pieces of wood and it has helped alittle for the banging I mean you can still hear it but not as loud. The basket "I think is out of place" so it looks to be. I have to move the basket alittle back when I wash because if not it will not fill since the spout where the water comes out of does not reach. Could it be a spring, pump or both/neither? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is a Whirlpool washer Model # LSQ9549PW3; Serial # CS2801742.
