Hi Ron

Several weeks ago working on a Frigidaire I had a similar problem to yours. I ordered the lid switch for the Frigidaire and the one I received was clearly not the right part, even though it checked out on the APP site and on the Sears Parts site. (I was able to use it on another machine and salvage the rightg switch from a scrap machine so things worked out for me)

Frigidaire has changed the original part number. Given your situation it may be that Frigidaire (not APP or Sears Parts) has made a mis-specification on this switch, and that the switch specified is not the correct switch.

I suggest you call APP (the volunteers who respond on this Forum do not work for APP) and discuss this with them, and if you can first post a photo of your old switch in a response on the Forum they and we may be able to identify the right part.

Sorry this happened but maybe we can use this situation to correct a problem for the future. It may be that the old switch is not available, and this one is the best they can do, but it should be made such that it is easy to put in. New drilling should not have to happen.

Hopefully we can find out what is really going on.

Thanks

I received your P/N 134101800 lid switch for the above model. According to your instructions I am to drill out the old rivets & mount the new switch. The new switch mounting holes are to far apart, & falls in a space where thier is no metal for mounting.

The original p/n is 3205646

The old switch have numbers 145328 & 10203-63 on it.

I hope this information helps

Do you have any suggestions on mounting this switch.

Thanks
Ron
