Ice cream is a good indicator of temperature so it sounds like the freezer is running warmer than it used to.
Also is it the same flavor and brand of ice cream. This does make a difference.

Check the freezer temperature.
It should be between 0 and 5 degrees F.

This may be an indicator of future problems re: the freezer getting warmer

Freezer was freezing ice cream for 10 years and now is not, all else is freezing fine. Why? :confused:
