Bingo! Didn't have to worry about where to put the food while thawing out the freezer. We have a natural outdoor freezer here in Chicago....my balcony worked just fine...lol

Thanks Ripleys!

Got another question that I think you may find valuable. Email me at scbconsulting@gmail.com

I have had a few where the water line has froze in the freezer door. Could be a pain in the a$$ but you may want to find a home for your food and leave the freezer door open for a few hours to see if it defrosts and lets the water flow. Just a suggestion.

After reading previous repair threads I tried replacing water valve, didn't fix problem.

Symptoms

- No water dispensed when push water lever at door (I hear typical clicking noises when working properly)
- No water going thru tube up the back of refrigerator
- Water appears to fill up in the water filter cover on refrigerator side
- Water comes out of tube at bottom on freezer side

Another repair thread stated that the door may need to be replaced. I wanted to post this problem for feedback before ordering a new door.

Appreciate any assistance available.
