I don't know of any way to check the board except sometimes you can inspect it and see burnt areas on a bad one. If the defrost thermostat and defrost heater are good the board is the problem.

I checked the defrost heater and it showed no resistance. I replaced it with a new and a week later the back of my frezer was frozen. The thermostat did have resistance so I did not replace it. Can the circuit board cause the heater to burn out? Is there a way of checking the circuit board for the problem I am having ? Any other suggestions?
Thanks
