When you are saying that the ice maker doesn't make ice, do you mean that the water is dispensed into the ice tray and is frozen but not ejected or that the ice tray is empty and no ice is even formed?

I replaced my ice maker and optics on my kitchen aid fridge, I also defrosted it to make sure my line wasn't frozen. the water on the door has been working fine through this process, I obviously replaced more than I need but it's still not working, wondering what I'm missing the diagnostic sheet wasn't very clear, any help would be greatly appreciated
