Check the freezer thermistor, should be around 16 Kohm at 32 degrees, easier to just replace it. Your freezer temperature indicates you probably have no refrigeration problems, but for a fridg running all the time, it should be lower. You might want to check the evaporator coils to see if you just have partial frost.

Sorry for not responding earlier...

The freezer is 0 degrees at its warmest setting and the fridge is between 30 and 36 degrees at its warmest setting. For some reason the vegetable drawer is 30 degrees and the rest of the fridge is 36.

I should have added and will do so now that once that damper assembly has been removed, the damper is easily inspected for damage before a replacement part is ordered. The usual failure is that a pin breaks on one side of the flapper, so it is usually sitting sideways in the opening, making a positive diagnosis very easy.
