Simon-

You're diagnosis was on point. I ordered this part on a Friday afternoon, expecting to get it the next Tuesday. To my surprise, it showed up at my door Saturday morning! Talk about fast shipping. A quick perusal of the Installation Instructions, and 5 minutes later, my problem is solved and my fridge is back to normal! Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough! Outstanding work by all involved at APP.com! Will definitely return the next time I have an appliance related problem! Thanks again!

Hi.

Based on the information you provided there is the problem with main control board, replace it.

Model Number GSH25SGRESS

Problem:

Water dispenses fine from the door. Ice came and went for about a week until today. Now, it intermittently sends power to the auger motor, but, motor won't turn (It will turn by hand, with some resistance). The little flap in the door does open when the dispenser arm is depressed. There is no rhyme or reason to when the dispenser arm send power to the motor. I can hear it whine, but it won't turn either with or without load. Also, when it does get power, I seem to hear a loud solenoid noise (loud click, then whine and no turn of auger motor).

Obviously, I don't want to shotgun parts at it (auger motor, solenoid, circuit board, etc). do the above symptoms describe a fault of one component to anyone, or are there additional steps I should take to nail down the problem?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Harry
