Looks like the compressor has a mechanical problem and regular start components can not provide enough torque for the compressor to start.

In such situation your choices are:
1. Replace the compressor - it can cost you $600 to $700 and you have to hire a pro to do it for you;
2. Buy a new refrigerator;
3. Try to use the hard start device which has more start power for the compressor and can make your refrigerator to last some more time. It has build in overload protection which makes it safe to use. You can order it from APP for $19.73

The choice is yours.

P.S. I believe you can return the parts you just purchased.

I notice the refrigerator was not cooling, I pulled it out and the coilsunder the refrigerator were very dirty. I cleaned the coils. The compressorclicks and hums for 40 sec. every 3 or 4 min. I just bought the starter andcapacitor from your parts department and installed (order # 3114422) now thefan runs continuously and the compressor still does the same thing.
