My ice maker has been acting up for some time and about a month ago it just stopped working altogether.

I did what I could to troubleshoot, but to no avail. I found some info that stated there was a high probabililty that the motor assembly most likely needed to be replaced.

I received the new motor/module assembly, but it does not seem to be doing anything. No gears turning, no noise indicating anything was happening, nada.

Today, I decided to look at the motor, so I removed the assembly and unscrewed the motor (was very careful and did not mess with the orange wires). There is a small, green gear that I would expect to turn as it abuts up to the larger, white gear on the outside of the assembly part, but it just will not budge. So now I am wondering how the gear assembly is suppose to work at all.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
MommaSpice
