I recall getting odd voltage readings before when testing a thermostat and narrowed down the problem with an improperly grounded plug... The customer was using an extension cord with the ground prong broken off the male end... That's one thing to look for...

hi guys, this icemaker has an emitter with optics , the red LED light is on steady. which means its working fine, but the ice maker when testing for voltage between N+L should show 110 volts, but only reads 43 volts AC, i direct tested the water valve it works fine.could it be a broken wire somewhere ,or does power come from control board beside compressor?. could not fined wiring diagram ,i also tested between T+H , nothing happens . any ideas? thanks Murray
