Whirlpool GJC3634 LB02 front left burner will operate on maximum power only. This is the dual-zone burner, both sizes do turn off, but when they are on, it is max heat. Please refer me to a part, and also a service manual?

Second, the 'hot surface' light stays on pretty much always. If I pound the top firmly with my fist, it'll usually turn back off (until next time). So while I'm in there repairing, would be nice to fix this little annoyance too if it is an easy one.
