I have learned something new about gas ranges today!

As you said all the electrodes 'spark' when any knob is turned; even the one that was not firing when I posted my question. I guess there may have been a 'bug' on it for a while.

Thanks for you help.

Hi.

It should be normal for all spark igniters to spark when any of the burners are turned on.
Please check and reply.

We have a GE model PGB900DEM1CC gas range installed by thehome builder four years ago. Everything has been working correctly until today.
The Ignition electrode for the left rear burner no longer‘sparks’ when the control knob is turned to the LITE position (the gas flowsand can be lit with a butane fire starter.)
The problem is thatthe left FRONT electrode DOES ‘spark’ while the control knob for the left REARburner is in the LITE position. Can you tell me what the failing part is?
(The other three control knobs/burners are functioningcorrectly.)
