I would say a wire is loose, but wouldn't want someone to loose their warranty or something.

Thanks. My daughter has called Sears and they are sending a tech out. I was really just curious since I have a similar unit at home that is not under warranty. No problems yet, just wondering.

No, if it's under warranty call a sears tech so you do not void your warrant.

On a new Kenmore smooth top stove, one of the large eyes does not work. It makes me think that something is not plugged in correctly. Is this something that can be repaired by the consumer? Thanks for any advice.
