Nita,

All wires are connected to the heating elements which are attached to the glass top. All such parts have to be removed from the old glass and installed on the new one. The instructions are attached to the reply.

Gene.

Hi, I just ordered a new cooktop for my Maytag slide-in electric range (old ceramic cooktop shattered). The part number I ordered from Appliance Part Pros is part 12001852 (for Maytag range model number CES3760AAW. Can you please give me step-by-step instruction on how to take the broken ceramic cooktop off my range and replace with new one coming? Many thanks.
