There is a short somewhere in the heating circuit. You have to check all parts and wires in the heating circuit per the wiring diagram (attached to the post).

I removed the control thermostat and the outer thermostat( just a plastic housing with a wire in it -it looks like) The inner 3 terminal thermostat has no continuity at room temperature, so I would think that needs to be replaced.

My question is, is the faulty control thermostat what is tripping the breaker when any heat setting is engaged on the timer? The fluff runs fine on the dryer.
Should I check something else in the heat control circuit also?
