You could have a problem with the heating coil.

Remove the wires from it and measure it with a meter, most are in the 10 to 13 ohm range.
If OK then measure from each side of the coil to the frame, both should be infinite ohms (open). Be sure to find an unpainted part of the frame.

i have a frigidaire electric dryer the heating element went bad replaced it and put everything back together and turn it back on it turns half of a turn and kicks the breaker. anyone know what would be causing this?
