Well, it is not surprise to me anymore when a new part is defective.

I'm glad you were able to fix it and it's up and running.

Thanks. I got it working now. What happened wasI replaced the coils with Maytag OEM coils. It still didn't flame up. So I tested every component including all thermostats, still didn'work.Diconnected coils checked them no continutity on 2. Returned to supplier and got another new set and it works fine now.Figure that out! New coils were defective.

I'm assuming the gas for the dryer is open.

The problem can be a bad gas valve coils as well as a bad gas valve itself.

We don't know the correct resistance values for the coils, but you can just check them for continuity to figure out if any of them is open.

If they all have some resistance then you may want to replace the whole gas valve assembly. It has been redesigned long time ago and comes with the new "M" series coils.

When dryer is turned on igniter glows for 15 or 20 seconds, hear a click but no flame and igniter goes out. Checked the Flame Sensor, Igniter, Hi Limit, all have contonuity. Checked all thermostats all OK. I now want to check the R value of the 3 gas valve coils but don't know what these values should be.

I did not find the exact values for this type of coils, but if you can describe more detail how did you do the troubleshooting then we probable can be more assured who is the failure suspect.

Have traced problem down to gas valve coils. Older style K series coils (3separate). I want to check resistance value for each coil. Would any one know what the Resistance range is for each coil ( Booster, Holding, Secondary) or where I can find that onfo.?
Thanks.
