Thanks for getting back to me. No blockage in the hose. I pulled the pump (part #17) and pressed the cancel/drain button. It does spin! Happy about that. Looking inside where the pump connects, I can pull up the rubber flap and still no blockage. Could there be something in the Sump (part #4) that is blocking it? If so, is it accessible from underneath the dishwasher or do I attack it from the inside under the spray arm. Thanks again.

Here are your parts
Model DU1100XTPS7

Here is a tech sheet

Since you have pulled it out I assume you have checked for a plugged drain hose.

Could be your pump Item 17 in "Pump & motor parts" is either shot or has something jamming it. If it is the part that is humming you know it is getting power.

My Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher, DU1100XTPS7, will not drain. When i press the Cancel/Drain button I can hear a faint hum coming from the pump under the dishwasher. No clicks, no motor movement, nothing. Any suggestions on what to check? I already pulled the dishwasher out and pulled the hose to allow it to drain out.
