Just replaced bottom heating element in G.E. oven and it still isn't heating. The actual problem started while oven was in cleaning mode and it popped and cracked and yellow looking smoke came from oven. It flipped the breaker and the oven door would not open for awhile. When we did get it open it had burned the bottom heating element in two on both sides. We just replaced the element but it still isn't heating, only the top one. The cooktop still works fine.
Thanks for any info as to what may be wrong and how to tell for sure before ordering a bunch of expensive parts.
