The cook surface switch on the left front (controls left rear surface) shorted out and melted. I removed this module and taped up the wires, but the other three surfaces will not come on. I would like to know if they depend on this unit for power? The other modules look like new, but I don't have a schematic and can't tell where they get the power from.

According to the Tech sheet, very likely the shorted switch damaged the power board.

Does the power board also provide input to the oven? The oven works.
Thanks, C Warren

Yes, there is one power board for everything.

Why would the over work and the other three elements not work it one control board provides power for both?

Control board has over a hundred different parts which control different parts of the range. Check out the wiring diagram in the Tech sheet.
