Any help would be appreciated.

This oven came with the house I purchased and worked fine for some time. Lately it has developed a habit of not lighting when the oven is set. This is an intermittent problem, and at first I had a workaround with lighting the broiler first (once the oven is warm, it functions normally). Now, however, both the oven and broiler behave the same. When the oven is set, the "oven on" light comes on, and the display shows the default temperature of the oven. After a short time, the display reverts to the clock. Repeatedly setting the oven will eventually result in it lighting. If the oven is warm, either from normal use or from the broiler, it will function properly. Once the igniter glows, the oven will light.

I don't have a problem replacing the igniter, but I've looked up the part diagram, and it seems that there are two involved. Is it more likely that this is an issue with the control mechanism? How should I troubleshoot the issue?

Thanks
