Default "Chambers" 4 burner stove clicking
Model Number: GSU-33-E   Brand: -brand-   Age: More than 10 years

One of the two igniters clicks (sparks?) at regular intervals without any human assistance. About every 30 seconds or so, the right side igniter clicks. This despite unplugging the control knobs at the front of the stove. The only thing that stops the clicking is pulling the breaker.

The method of removal for the igniter is not obvious and therefore I've left it in place, although I've pulled the screws from it's base.

Do I need to replace the igniter or find a short that is giving it juice?

Thanks for your help!

Most likely the problem is a bad spark module.

I'm not able to provide more accurate advise due to unavailability of on-line information for such old model. You can call the APP customer service (877-477-7278) and they will help you.

Gene.
