Stove burner will not go off stays red always
Model Number: JMP26G*H1 Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
One burner will not turn off. It stays red hot. When on high, it gets more red than it should. everything else works fine. any ideas on the part needed?

Your switch is bad and needs replacing. You can disconnect the power wires to that switch, should be 1 red, and 1 black. remove them from the switch, cover the ends in electrical tape so they dont short, and the rest of the burners will work.
