Unhappy Touch pad ?
Model Number: W131W   Brand: Jenn-Air   Age: More than 10 years

Jenn Air W131W SN 13512466HZ installed Feb 1994 Started getting intermittent F7 error code several years ago. January this year went to a more persistant F1, A few weeks ago we got a constant F0 code and had to shut the breaker off. Wasn't able to use oven at all. I have disconnected all terminals and reconnected. After removing the temp sensor and checking resistance, 1.112K at room temp to 1.2xx at hot water temps ( around 130 degrees ) and replacing, and powering up with ribbon to the touchpad disconnected, and reconnected I don't get the error codes but the fan stays on constant and oven/broiler do not heat at all. Both limits ( top and rear ) show continuity ( closed? ) at room temps, zero resistance. Broiler/bake elements show 18ohms/20.6 ohms respectively. Have 120 in both legs in. 120 at bake and broiler elements both sides black and red regardless of the control being on or off. In summary my oven will not heat and the fan runs continuous while power is on. I would like to just replace the touchpad but would like some reassurance. Thank you

With all the problems these ovens seem to have, is it worth repairing or better to just replace!! Hope to find out soon.

If you did not get the error codes with the touch pad ribbon disconnected then the problem is a bad touch pad and a new one should fix it.

It's hard to say if it's worth to fix it because of age of the oven.

- The part number for the control panel is AP2666216

Gene.
