Model Number: KERC507HBT3 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 5 - 10 years
We have a Kitchenaid Superba Convection whose broiler element doesn't heat up.
I replaced the element before going through the proper checks so I am pretty that isn't the issue. Their continuity is good as well. I also checked the continuity to both inner and outer wires and they also seem good. When the oven is on both inner and outer elements check 120v at both ends of the contacts but, no heat. Is there a way to check the control panel to insure I am replacing the right part? Is there a thermal fuse and if so could that be the problem? (we do live in Iowa and have had a "few" thunder storms lately) I saw mention of a thermal fuse on Whirlpool and Kitchenaid but have found none nor reference of one for this model. Hope you can help and thanks in advance. |
