Default Oven temp not accurate
Model Number: RF390PXPN-0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: More than 10 years

My Whirlpool oven model #RF390PXPN-0, Serial #F64006255 is not heating accurately. According to thermometer we put inside, it is heating to approximately 25 degrees lower than what it is set at. What might cause this and is it something that I can repair or is it technician level? Thanks.

You can adjust the oven temperature as described in the "Owners manual" (page 10).

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool range Model RF390PXPW0

I had one repairman look at this stove and tell me it was a bad thermostat and he would order one. Two weeks later I called him and he said he was having trouble finding the part. Another week later, I called him and he said that I would need to buy a new stove because parts were not available for this one. I will read the owners manual, cover-to-cover. Thnx for the reply and sorry to bother you before reading the manual.
