New GE range igniter sparks only intermittently

Model Number: JGP328 Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

I have an 8 year old GE stove model JGP328 WEC1WW. Two of the burners needed to be lit with a lighter everytime so I replaced the two igniters. One now works great but the other only sparks in maybe 1 out of 10 clicks when I try to light it. Is it a defective igniter or is there some other issue?

I would suspect the spark module.

The job would take a pro about a half-hour. It shouldn't take a handy novice much more than twice as long.
