FRIGIDAIRE ELECTRIC RANGE OVEN AND CLOCK NOT WORKING. Made a pop niose and the oven and the clock stopped working Top elements still work Could this be a bad clock assembly or something else.:confused:

With the unit unplugged I would open the unit up and try to find evidence of the pop re: weld marks, soot or a burned off wire. Run your fingers along the bake and broil elements. You are looking for bubbles or problems with the coating. Sometimes this can fail, cause a short and not only blow he element but also blow the control board. Check the control board for blown components. You will notice that the control board runs off of half the line (120 volts) so it is important to check that this is OK. |
