The display does not light up. It had been growing dim over the past few weeks and now is completely blank. The oven does work, you are just guessing as to whether you entered correctly.

Call repair service. Have been told the control panel, maybe the whole oven, needs to be sent to Chicago repair facility for repair. Being told they need to completely redo the electronics as it needs to comply with a new law. Does not sound right to me.

Do you think only the display unit needs to be replaced?

Also, do you know the voltage going to the display so I can test the circuits.

One item, I cannot find the model number on the oven, where do I look. I do have information on the barcode tag on the display:

100-00=1043-01
CN: 14-38-994
CHEAD SGL
SN: 37008 02112

A past repair noted the model as an SC3012S. My Care & Use Manual covers: SCD302, SCD272, SC301, SC302, SC272.
