Replaced bake element now only works in self cleaning mode
Model Number: jbp23 Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
The bake element recently melted and almost started a fire. After I replaced the element, the bake and broil elements will only get hot to the touch in either the bake, time bake, or broil modes but seems to work okay in the self cleaning mode. When I turn the control switch to bake the preheat light on the temperature control does not come on. This light does come on in time bake or broil modes as well as self cleaning mode. the clock seems to work just fine.
