Model Number: JS966S0D1SS Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
About 4 months ago the clock touch pad and clock stopped working. Recently the oven temperature will not set over 289. Seems odd, I know. All the numbers 0-9 work, in any combination of 289 degrees or less. The broiler sets and goes on normally. When setting anything over 289 degrees the touchpad beeps and the error mesages is "ERR". Is this something with the electronic ERC, a switch or possibly the over temperature sensor? Thanks. Donna. (If the ERC or a switch is this a do it yourself for a person who's somewhat handy, but can't tell how to unscrew the touch pad panel ??)
