GE gas cooktop model JPG640ES1BG
only the left front burner sparks continually when it is lit. no problem lighting but the clicking doesn't stop as if it doesn't recognize it is lit already. Is this the main spark module or the swithch to the left front burner? How do you get access? from underneith?

Check the burner igniter for any damages and proper alignment.

If there is nothing wrong, replace the spark module. The cooktop has to be removed from the counter top and turned upside down. The bottom panel has to be removed (tons of screws).

- The igniter Part number: AP2020590

Do I remove the ignitor to check it? How do you check it. If the spark module is to blame, any pitfalls to be weary of in the disassembly or is it a do-it-yourself project?
